Now accepting applications for Support Services Technician

The successful candidate will determine customers’ needs and make recommendations for service, technical support, training, rental and/or new products while providing accurate and helpful information with a customer service friendly attitude. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following along with any other duties that may be assigned. Service and Support Responsibilities:

• Perform service diagnostics and assist in the preparation of estimates
• Repair equipment as required
• Complete equipment calibration and cleaning services as assigned
• Configure and test New, Used, Rental and Repaired equipment as assigned
• Technical Support for APE Customers, Salespeople and Leica Solution Centers
• Assist other Service, Support and Sales personnel
• Prepare Rental Equipment for delivery
• Conduct training classes as needed for customers, salespeople and service people
• Answer customers, sales and service personnel questions in relation to sales, service, support and rental.
• Account for Rental and Support Services inventory
• Anything additionally required as a function of Allen Precision business

Position Requirements:
Must have strong customer interaction skillsAssociates degree (AA) in Electronics or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent experience; and one or more year’s related experience with related technology.
Must have strong mechanical aptitudeSome lifting required up to 50 pounds or greater is required.
The position requires particular vision requirements and including the ability to adjust focus and adjust the eye to bring and object into sharp focus.
Offsite travel will be required to assist in trade shows, training and testing equipment.
Strong computer skills, including software/hardware installation and configuration and troubleshooting in Windows operating systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
